“The Unannounced Christmas Visitor is truly an amazing story for both the Christian and the non-Christian. I found myself as a saved Christian stopping to think about the message more than once and taking stock of my real thoughts and motives to be sure that I am indeed living a life pleasing to God. The “Word” cannot be denied because of the great descriptions, explanations and understanding that Patrick Higgins puts into each and every page. This is a must-read for all of us – it will touch your heart in a way few books do; you will laugh and cry; and most of all, you will be uplifted. Please do not pass this one up.”  Trudi LoPreto – Readers’ Favorite.

What readers are saying about The Pelican Trees…

Highly recommended! I have never said this about a book, but THE PELICAN TREES needs to be made into a movie. The storyline was quite original. The author took concepts that are difficult to fathom and, while Scripturally accurate, widely ignored or outright contested. He merged this controversial true subject of demonic spirits with a fictional tale, and the finished work is compelling – no easy feat. The subject of forgiveness has been explored by many authors, yet this author weaves the theme through a tale that is original, fresh, and captivating enough to make it seem like a new concept. I will be looking for more from this author. In the meantime, someone get this forwarded to a director! Carla Knowlton Author of “You’re Not Alone”

This book has been such a HUGE help to me. You have no idea how transformed I feel right now! After feeling kind of lost the past few months, reading this book was like having a revival in my heart. I cried all weekend, but it was a good healing, forgiving cry. I can only imagine how many lives will be impacted with this new weapon that God’s Holy Spirit has blessed our planet with. I see millions of souls being saved after reading this book, as their names are written in the Book of Life!!!!!  Blanca Garcia, Mexico City, Mexico.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Pelican Trees.  The story was simply amazing. I found myself unable to put it down most of the time. There is mystery, intrigue, evil plots, and good plots, with enough twists and turns to keep me guessing right up to the end. Throughout the story, the reader will discover that even our most unimportant choices and decisions can have dire consequences that of which we may never really know. I have never said this about a book, but I believe The Pelican Trees would make an excellent movie and one that would do fairly well at the box office. It is also a book that can be used by the Holy Spirit to bring others to salvation in Christ because of the gospel message that is throughout. In the end, the theme of forgiveness and salvation really makes for an enjoyable read. Terry Delaney Pastor/Founder of Christian Book Notes.

The Pelican Trees touched my heart as it reminded me of my own experience with the four men responsible for shooting and killing my son. I was able to express my forgiveness of all of them in four separate sentencing hearings in Federal Court. I have corresponded with two of them, both of whom have accepted Jesus as their Savior. I am humbled to be used by the Lord to share His love, grace, and mercy with them.  Carol Lewis – Summit Christian Academy Lee’s Summit, MO.

This book was so good. There were times I just couldn’t put it down. The best part about The Pelican Trees story is that it has allowed me to forgive one specific person within my family, who has caused me great heartache since my mother’s death 10 years ago. I have passed this life-changing book on to other members of our staff, for them to read and also recommend. And I will definitely recommend this book to others. There are a few non-Christians in my life that I will recommend the book to as well. Thanks for the opportunity to read and comment on the book.  Sheila Barber Publications Ministry Assistant Fort Caroline Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Florida.

This story reminds me of an allegory. The characters or events represent or symbolize ideas and concepts. I’m probably reading between the lines but I see Shelby as being me…you, the everyday person, the bank deposit box as the Bible, the six dangerous men as the evil that tries to so easily beset us, and the treasure as eternal life. I was a little confused by the title, The Pelican Trees, so when I studied this word, pelican, I came up with…the a symbol of self-sacrifice. So, as I read this book I realized that Christ is our sacrifice and all.in.all this is what the total of this read is about…Christ, our Savior. This is one of those life changing reads written in story form. A not to be missed read! Tammy W. – Tammy’s Book Parlor – Texas

What readers are saying about Coffee In Manila…

Whew what a love story!!! This is the best book I’ve ever read. As co-founder of an Asian dating site, I know it’s possible to meet a good lifetime partner online. I’m also aware of the many dangers online dating presents. This book teaches so many valuable lessons we all need to learn, especially online daters, making this a ‘must-read’ story for the many millions currently searching online. We’re proud to offer “Coffee In Manila” on our dating site, and highly recommend that each of our members will read it for themselves. It’s that good! We even plan to include this amazing book as part of our gift baskets, which will also include flowers, chocolates, and teddy bears. Thanks for caring so much about my country, the Philippines…Great job! Jhasty-Founder of Asian Social Times.

Just finished reading Coffee In Manila. It was very well written, with a great theme threaded throughout. It’s great how the author was able to highlight a pulverizing social issue in the Philippines and more importantly introduce each reader to Jesus along the way. Loved it! Scott Hanzy/Founder Arise Asia.

CIM was so amazing that I read in just one night. There are so many good messages and lessons to be learned from this book. The story will make you both mad and sad, as it really brings to light the many problems which need to be solved in our society. I want to thank the author (who ever he is) for writing this great book, and also thank God for the ministry of CIM. Pastor Pedro M. Etabag/Bacalod, Philippines.

What a blessing it was to read Coffee In Manila! This book is so captivating and heart warming. As a pastor, I believe we need many Ernesto and Gloria Angeles in our society. We also need many ‘AGAPE COFFEE and PASTRY SHOPPES’ all over the country, to become houses of refuge for those who are in need of guidance and direction. I BELIEVE THIS BOOK WILL BE A MUST-READ BOOK IN THIS GENERATION. What a wonderful way to share the love of God. Pastor Danny Lagdamen – Australia – Arise Davao.

I am an American currently living in the Philippines. After reading the four preview chapters, not only do I think it’s really great, I also feel this book needs to be read by all foreign men traveling here to Philippines. Perhaps the government should make it mandatory reading before issuing visas to them. More importantly, it should be required reading for all Filipinas living here, beginning at age 16 or 17, much like the US draft. It breaks my heart to see so many young girls throwing themselves at foreigners they barely even know (sometimes 40-50 years older). It happens all the time here, and is starting to get completely out of control. Which is why this story is desperately needed here in the Philippines Scott Brown.
